Nostrada specialises in the use of quantitative investigations of rock mass behaviour and support performance supplemented by experience, computer modelling and site investigations to provide practical and sustainable solutions to rock related problems. The company has been involved in Production Rock Engineering, Instrumentation, Monitoring, Hazard Identification Training, Geotechnical Engineering, Support Audits, Hangingwall and Slope Stability Assessments.
Nostrada’s offices are conveniently situated in Rustenburg, Lydenburg as well as Johannesburg to ensure quick response to clients in the Rustenburg/Lydenburg and surrounding areas since it represents the largest portion of our client base. Mines in other areas are also serviced from Rustenburg, Lydenburg and Johannesburg on a monthly basis or as per agreement with the clients to ensure continuous and regular service. Emergencies are addressed immediately no matter the location. Ad-hoc projects are done for clients on request. Projects include Pre- and Feasibility Studies, Geotechnical Logging, Support Audits, Numerical Modelling and any other Rock Engineering related and Mine Design service that may be required.

Costing of Projects
The costing of a project differs between sites and depends on the client’s needs as well as the duration of the project or contract. Projects are assessed and the work is categorized for different levels of qualifications and skills required to complete the project or to fulfil the requirements of the service rendered. The level of qualifications required to do the work will ultimately determine the final cost. Projects are analyzed to ensure the most cost effective approach to suit the client’s budget requirements.
